St. George Syro-Malankara Catholic Mission of Atlanta carries forward the faith, worship, and family traditions of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church.

St. George Syro-Malankara Catholic Mission of Atlanta is part of the Syro-Malankara Major Archiepiscopal Church and is in full communion with the Bishop of Rome. Our community brings together faithful Catholic Malankarites, many with roots in Kerala, India, who continue to worship and live the faith through the Malankara tradition.
In Malayalam, the Church is known as the Syro-Malankara Catholica Sabha or Malankara Suriani Catholica Sabha. It is also known as the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church of India.
Our Heritage
Our Church is built on the teachings of the Universal Catholic Church while preserving the spiritual and liturgical heritage of the Malankara tradition. We carry forward the vision of the Malankara Catholic reunion movement begun by the Servant of God, Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios.
The Church continues to grow through the prayers, service, and leadership of its faithful and shepherds.
North America
The Malankara Catholic Church continues to grow in North America under the guidance of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Stephanos.
At St. George, that wider Church is experienced locally through Sunday Holy Qurbono, prayer, fellowship, and the life of our mission community in Atlanta.
Faith at St. George
Members of St. George take pride in practicing the Malankara Catholic faith, teaching the traditions of Kerala passed down by our families, and preserving the closeness of a small church community.
For us, tradition is not only something remembered from the past. It is lived each week in the prayers we say, the Holy Qurbono we celebrate, the customs we teach our children, and the fellowship we share with one another.
